Romney campaign bus stop in Mount Pleasant, Michigan draws a massive crowd

Of about 17 people.

One of several Romney campaign buses making the rounds in the USA made a stop on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant this week and drew a teeming crowd of “about 17?. Michigan Victory Communications Director Kelsey Knight said, “We’re here in an effort to splash how strong our grassroots efforts here in Michigan.”

Mission not accomplished.

Glad you're here. We need you! And you're quite correct - the simpler the message with this crowd, the better. After all, I believe it was kkkarl rove who once said "too much education isn't necessarily a good thing" - because the better-educated you are, the more likely you'll embrace the liberal view.

Now get to work. We have a reelection to secure.

I'm alright but,i'm looking for that hunchback who rings the bells 24/7.
Then I'm sposed to get on the forums and try to chip in something funny yet terse, edgy but not too harsh, intelligent and magnanimous.
I am so ready for the elections to be over and then i can sleep a restful sleep instead of wandering through the halls of my anarchy bunker, insomnolent, worrying:"how do these idiots get so fricking rich".

I bet Mitt spent a million dollars on that bus stop alone and for what,17 hardcore supporters?
The consolation to me is that, the money frittered on this election is now back in circulation and some way, some how it will help some people who really need it.
I constantly remind myself that i am so fortunate and then regret the fact and that, collectively,we are all so screwed.
Brain damaged or not though, that is a cute kid.

I would not put it past Mitt W.'s campaign to go to the same day-labor employment agency that rents out the people who hold signs in front of pizza stores, and hire a couple dozen people to hire signs at Romney's rallies.

Excellent Race."

His base is composed of many racists. Hell, mostly racists.

And, just for giggles, Who built this nation? SLAVES, for the most part, especially in the south, indentured, abused people forced to work for jack shit with nothing to hope for, and once they outlived their usefulness, fuck 'em, let 'em die.

Then, after the people woke up, UNIONS built even more. Robber barons are still trying to "correct" that "problem" so they can get richer and richer.

Fuck them.

"About" 15 or "about" 30 is a nice round number. It could be more or less.

About 17 means 17 people showed up. of those 17, some may be staffers.

Mt. Pleasant, Isabella county is very blue. Of the 14 counties within the 4th district it is only one of two counties to go blue.

As 4th district chair I put together a fundraising dinner. I put it in Mt. Pleasant because I knew it would help attendance. Very active Dems there. During the even someone gave me a list of elected Dems to acknowledge. I assumed it would be a handful but when I looked at it I was surprised to see a really long list. That county is beyond blue. It's awesome.

Team Romney is full of idiots.

My wife and I both went to CMU for grad school. It's a nice town.

What is rather surprising is that they apparently made no effort to reach out to other folks in Isabella county and beyond. Like many college towns, there are probably a lot of folks five minutes out of town who would support Romney. Much like the Frankenmuth photos, this tells me they are not seriously contesting Michigan.

Here is a pic of the bus after it was in a small accident recently. The bus looks the same to me in both pics in terms of its size compared to the size of the people standing by it, but maybe I'm missing something. Who knows. It still seems to me that the real problem is that only 17 people showed up, not that the bus looked (or didn't look) slightly larger than normal.
