Update: NEGATIVE I was just tested for Covid-19 - and the dreaded nasal swab did NOT appear!Last edited Wed May 27, 2020, 02:14 PM - Edit history (2)
I think I'm actually okay, but I went through Virginia's new symptom checker because I have a persistent cough, runny nose, and my sinuses are killing me. I went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago because I was having trouble breathing, but thought (and doctor agreed) it was allergy related.
Anyway, I'm supposed to have surgery June 5 to repair a busted septum (fell on my face right before Thanksgiving) and I was due to be tested anyway prior to surgery. It can take up to 5-7 days for a result. I'll call the ENT tomorrow to see if they want to wait or go ahead with their own testing. The test was similar to a strep test - she just swabbed my throat. I'm supposed to lay low now at home, which I've been doing pretty much anyway.

3. Thank you both!
Honestly, I don't think I have it - no fever, no aches, no lethargy. But the upcoming surgery and the cough, plus answering the questions on the Virginia site, made me go forward with the test.

5. Updated to add,
boy that was fast! 24 hours and the test was negative. Even before the negative result, ENT said to come in for pre-op. I will be tested again on Friday for surgery the following week, I suppose. Thanks to those of you who responded
