All the hand wringing and BS about the republican primary-ing her has been entertaining but the 74% of local residents have a great STFU to give to all the provocateurs.

Yes. Provocateurs. Please do not forget that some who post here do not have the best intentions for the Democratic Party.

That said, there really are many kinds of trolls, and yes, we doubtless have some on here. DU generally does a great job of keeping out spammers and trolls, though. It's actually a very gentle place. I enjoy sometimes going on The Hill and arguing with the right wingers. The trolls there are pretty obvious, because they do one-liner ad hominem attacks with plenty of name calling and other put downs. They kind of seem to travel in packs.

Every time I challenge one, though, I think that maybe, just maybe, I've touched someone else reading the thread and gotten them to think a bit more deeply on things, maybe access some different sources.

But, man, Trump and the GOP are really going all out towards a dictatorship. Other forces (us) seem to be holding them at bay, but they are not going to get thrown into history's dustbin (and hopefully jail for some of them) without a big, constant, consistent fight.

And there are around 30 million Americans we'll never be able to even touch because they are so indoctrinated in right-wing AM talk propaganda. Face it, if someone listens to Rush every day for a decade, it's going to be very difficult to even present any Democratic thoughts to them, let alone turn them around.

for this blue district, as well as far larger campaign funding. But she'd been expected to win all along, even if a more electable challenger had arisen.

We heard the Wall Street was throwing money at Cabrera. If accurate, it was a colossal waste of cash because they got slaughtered.
These folks are supposed to be geniuses with money. Apparently not!
