Did Carolyn Maloney (NY-12) officially win her primary?

It's listed at 100% reporting. Does that 100% include mail-ins? Has it been called?

1. I read that she did win, however there are still ballots to be counted for the official talley

I'm not sure if that's a yes, or a maybe.

Maybe saying it can't be officially certified or something.

We're supposed to know the full results by the1st anyway.

The massive turnout we're seeing bodes well for a November Republican wipeout
🙂

2. Nothing said yet, lots of mailins apparently and she's only 600 votes ahead.

3. Nobody has officially won a House race; absentee ballots won't be tallied until next week.

8. No. It is a democratic primary in NY.

She had a pretty compelling opponent.

5. I dont think all the mail ins will be counted for another week.

...or 3. She leads by less than 2 percent so if the mail in ballots are what they historically are (older and whiter), she probably has won. On the other hand, more young folks probably stayed home as they are more liberal, and that could effect her chances. I think think this one is still too close to call.

6. Nothing can be considered "official"

until the absentees are counted on June 30th. Looks like that's the new normal for elections this year.

7. I believe they will report the final tally, including absentees, for all oustanding races on June 30

I live in her district and voted for her via absentee even though I didn't leave the city. They made it easy to get absentee ballots.
