Trump is ‘in a meltdown’ because he ‘doesn’t know who to blame’ for his failures: Republican John Kasich

Snip

On Monday’s edition of CNN’s “OutFront,” former Gov. John Kasich (R-OH), once a rival presidential candidate to President Donald Trump, assessed his leadership failures.

“He’s flailing,” said Kasich. “He’s in a meltdown. He looks at his polls and doesn’t know who to blame. He blames his advisers and is even blaming Fox News now. He’s flailing. He doesn’t know how to stop things. So I think he’s just throwing everything out over the period of the last three days, hoping he’s going to strike a chord.”

“What he doesn’t realize is that base he has, the edges of that base are beginning to fray,” said Kasich. “That base is getting smaller and smaller. Because he’s a Republican, he’s causing a brand problem for Republicans. And mark my words. There’s going to be a point in time where these folks are going to leave. Then many of them will say, I was never a part of this. I never supported him. In the meantime, because they had gone along, they have enabled him to do these kinds of just totally outrageous things.”

Away from the failure with this virus , and him knowingly doing nothing after knowing putin was paying bounties to kill our service members. Media need to stop airing his diversions , and his propaganda, and white grievances , and stick to these two issues that are eating him alive. He knows when something really bad exposes him to at once put out stories and accusations that'll water down the more damming issues against him. I also suspect he knows the Supreme Court is going to release his taxes soon, and if they don't we'll have even more corruption in our government with criminals lining up to run for President.

I completely agree with you though, these two issues would each, by itself, sink any presidency. Together, they will crush him, if we keep them in the public eye.

Every Dem candidate (especially veterans) needs to hammer home the bounty issue at every opportunity.

The common theme is: Trump is trying to get us all killed. He is a mortal threat to every American.

Big Orange, and they refused to even hear testimony. Remember that, Johnny Boy? Is Kasich now offering to step in and save the country? From the very start, we knew tRump was not equipped to handle the job. They were hoping President Obama had created a good enough economy that they could loot the treasury with ease. They did that, and look where they got this country. He did not do all this damage alone, he had plenty of help. Brand? Republican? Sinking fast, and not a moment too soon. Where were these "caring repubs." when we needed them to rein him in? The country is a pile of ashes, and NOW they blame HIM?

that may be an even bigger worry to trump than anything else - his protector and mentor, maybe getting russian money, at the very least fed by the kremlin. the guy they ran the collusion through, who kept the senate in line, the guy they were really afraid of

they aren't half as afraid of trump's tweets as having limbaugh chew them out every week until elections to his army of dittoheads, with them calling their local state blowhards later on those same stations (because they can never get through to limbaugh, with all the paid callers in line in front of them) to question their patriotism for helping the marxist democrats

every bit of trouble trump got into was excused by limbaugh and now the biggest liar in the history of the planet is croaking and trump is freaking out.

I don't live in Ohio any longer but when I see what Ohio has become over the decades I've been gone, I'm deeply saddened. My roots run deep in NE Ohio and most of my family still live there and they are thoroughly disgusted at what has happened to their state. Kasich is no small part of that.

No use trying to use psychological terms or blame it on just Republicans even though they created conditions for this mess. Kasich could have spoken out sooner former Trump administration critics seem to be waiting for the bitter end. I fear events epitaph will be especially for Republicans “They could have gotten rid of him much sooner”

Okay, anything besides a couple of too-late travel ban. Anything positive, anything constructive. Anything timely.

Instead, he went with "wishful thinking" and hoped it would just go away.

And when it didn't go away, he added a dash of "exploitation."

And he's sticking with that, long after it's proven a lethal failure, because it involves the least amount of engagement and he wants to go golfing. And because Putin wants it that way.

Fire everyone in the campaign. Rehire the 2016 campaign staff. Oops! First, pardon Manafort so he will be available to work the campaign. Have Manafort rehire everyone.

Bring Putin into campaign HQ to eliminate the need of an awkward backchannel of communications with him. That way, Putin is available instantly to correct Manafort's mistakes.

Forget about campaigning. Kill the Post Office and rig the ballot boxes. Oops! First, corrupt the states' voter data bases and hire thugs as ballot box monitors so they can prevent people with corrupted data from voting.

Arrest Obama and Biden.

It all started when his inaugural crowd was honestly reported, and it's been a constant barrage of meltdowns since. He must be the unhappiest, and most dishonest, pResident in United States' history. Perhaps if he told the truth on occasion, or thought about someone other than himself, his meltdowns would be less frequent. I'd hoped he would have had a heart attack or stroke by now, what with all of rantings and ravings, but he's just being true to his nature: A complete fucking asshole.

But that's the only thing you can give Kasich credit for. He says that Trump is "causing a brand problem for Republicans". BULLSHIT. They've caused that problem themselves. Given multiple opportunities to jettison Trump, they only circled the wagons and drew in closer to him. The Dems gave them a golden opportunity to improve their brand with the impeachment, but the GOP was more interested in defying liberals than protecting their own names. Susan Collins comes to mind.

May every last one of them be stricken with one thing (election loss) or another (covid positive). It's their true legacy.
