The absurdity of it all....

Last edited Sat Jul 11, 2020, 01:59 AM - Edit history (1)

On a zoom call this afternoon for the Democratic Action Team I’m a member of a teacher friend of mine asked...

“I wonder how social distancing will work when we run active shooter drills this Fall.”

Everything..About...That...Question...Is...Wrong

We were all speechless.....My heart aches.

I hadn’t thought of it like this. As badly as I hate distance learning for myself and my beautiful boy...there’s a part of me that just wants him home safely with me whether from Covid or murderers. What a mess.

She//he is asking a real world question that will have to be dealt with when schools re-open.

But I'm afraid someone will find a way to use the virus as a biological weapon.

the scratchers, the spitters and fighters. He wants no parts of re-opening during this time as he's told me what can happen with unstable personalities. For instance, who can trust all these hard-to-manage students to always wear their mask and do social distancing, or to not take off their mask to cough in the teacher's face or another student's in some kind of retaliation.

It's just not time to re-open.

that a lot of these kids are sticking their fingers in other kids' noses. Definitely not the time to be reopening with a full schedule!
