Stone's commutation papers arrived. Dated July 10, penciled in. ??

"I am no legal expert but pretty sure you are, and that not a lot of journalists are. I hope they are getting on this. Seems like common sense that a commute for 7 felonies is more complicated than 2pg 300 word EO. What next jfc"

**There's a good convo about this on Zoe Tillman's twitter:

** Then there's this: Stone's appeal invalidates the commutation.

years ago. It was a major scandal because by law bills can't be due on a Sunday and no government document signed on a Sunday is legal.

Have no idea why anyone has a beef with him.
He is in the same respected circle as many others such as LauferLaw, Lincoln's Bible@LincolnsBible, etc.

HERE: They're all dicussing the same thing with questions & legal points to make.

A speculatively forged handwritten date has nothing to do with why people are speaking up about it.

Here it is yet again.

There are a lot of legal minds examining this doc for some alarming reasons. Choose whomever you prefer.
They're all discussing the same points of question.

He has no problem lying. After all, he could shoot someone and get away with it and has been lying all this time and nothing has been done about it, so he feels invincible.

Just my opinion, I'm no handwriting expert, just guessing based on the fact that he lies so much and this just seems so slimy.

I'm surrounded right now by parcel maps and that's the norm.

I don't see why a pardon drafted weeks in advance but waiting for the right moment for a signature should be any different.

As long as it's in ink.

Now, whether or not it needs a witness or other certification is a different matter.

The big, round stamp I presumed was official certification. Whether a second signature should accompany the document is a valid question. Filing stamps would not be affixed to the Whitehouse copy. Seems rather cheesy to wipe out the fine.

Before the day of e-filing, my usual form for court pleadings was a fill-in-the-blank for the date which I completed when I signed.
