I'll never forget my sadness (and outrage and horror) that he was boo'd on national television. The disrespect being shown to him was unforgivable. It's as if they had absolutely no idea of what had come before, and how it was that we were able to achieve the Voting Rights Act. Or maybe from their youthful perspective, all that was "ancient history" and things happened so "long ago" to them that it means nothing, and they simply take things for granted that "the way it is now is the way it's always been". And that's just ignorant. Sad and ignorant.

14. Yep. Sander's supporters. Loudly. At the 16 Convention.

Itís one of the reasons why we true democrats have such distain for Sanderís and his supporters. Actually for me the main reason.

And it gets worse. When his supporters started booing you would have expected any good liberal to run to the stage and admonished them.

But no, Bernie sat there grinning like the cat that ate the canary. He loved John Lewis getting booed because Lewis has the nerve to supported our candidate, Hillary. I kind of liked Bernie till that moment. Since then I have had a burning hate for him and his delusional supporters.

I cried my eyes out when I hear Mr Lewis had passed. The idea that his last speech at a Democratic Convention resulted him booed is pissing me off all over again.

John Lewis was the greatest American most of us will ever share the earth with. I was 3 when MLK was shot so I canít count that.

John Lewis almost died several times in the fight for human rights. He pushed MLK because he was no preacher. He was a fighter. He put his life one the line for the cause of equal rights. Was willing, and almost gave his life.

And I will never, ever, forgive the Sanderís supporters who booed him on national TV.

5. I'm so glad he lived to see the movement this summer,

and the amazing support for equality, justice, decency from over three quarters of Americans, in spite of all attempts to use them for race and fear mongering. Again.

If only he'd lived to see people vote as they'd never voted before, but it seems probable that he left us having great hopes for just that.

9. If that doesn't convince people to get out and vote,

nothing will.

That was beautiful. And it made me cry again.

17. NO SUCH THING AS....

NOT VOTING! Even when you don't vote your MISSING VOTE has a measurable value. It ALWAYS helps someone win and someone lose. When you sit home on your ass, you're still voting! The only thing you give up sitting home is YOUR CHOICE. Why let others vote for you? But here's the kicker....no ESCAPING THE CONSEQUENCES of not voting. You don't get to sit safely on the sidelines of this game. Don't let other's drive the car and take you where they WANT TO GO. Get out and VOTE. YOU DO THE DRIVING!

19. Recommended.

What an extraordinary human being he was! I wish that I had had the opportunity to meet him, and thank him for living his life in a manner that provided such a powerful example to us. I always thought that Tadodaho Leon Shenandoah's saying, "The greatest strength is gentleness" applied to this wonderful man.
