When the Democratic Party leaders told him that battle of the New York Billionaires won't happen.

He took his ball and went home.

and fund a foundation with the several billion dollars it has been said it will take to shore up the ability of state and local authorities to conduct safe and efficient elections in the fall. Then that money should be made available to the election systems that need it in order to be ready in time. I'm thinking about the 3 or so billion dollars contained (I believe) in the Heroes Act for election safety, which no doubt will not pass through Congress given Trump's opposition to mail in voting and the like. Not only Bloomberg, but Gates and Buffet and no doubt there are others who could spare a half billion or more to protect our democracy this fall. The States don't have all the needed the money on their own.

Any money spent now is a waste. Americans have short memories. A billion dollars spent in the two weeks preceding the election will have for more impact than a billion dollars spent in 3 months preceding it.
