Conway: Many successive generations of Americans will marvel at how someone as profoundly stupid

as @realDonaldTrump could have been elected president of the United States.

Tweet from George Conway a few minutes ago, reacting to video of Trump talking again about that cognitive test and how difficult it was:

It's one thing to question the election. But at least some could be excused for hoping that a political unknown might turn out to be at least competent.

The real stumper is the Republican who voted to keep him in power well after his incompetence, stupidity, corruption, and evil was thoroughly demonstrated.

That don't follow the news and its just been the last 12 years that FB and others exploded with non stop stuff. Even then I have gone door to door in different states over last 20 years and you hear, I have my family, my work I don't have time to do anything else.

You would think these Average Joes would have zeroed in on him when he drove the USFL into the ground. Then when they heard about his following decades of fiascos, it should have at least registered on their radar.

You'd describe it as a "perfect storm" that carried Trump over the line but virtually the same thing happened in 2000 with Bush. I don't believe in coincidences.

They will marvel at the astonishing stupidity of millions of people who voted for this con man. Most of them sucked in by the propaganda of right wing radio/tv......thereby voting against their own interests....at least the non Neo Nazi Racist types.

will ignore what made it possible: the GOP-ruled Senate. He (it) will get all the credit, but the real blame falls on Moscow "fucking asshole" Mitch and his cronies in the Senate.
