Pussy-Grabber leads by 10 points on the economy?

Repigs always manage to win this PR war, and too many voters buy into the horse shit that repigs are financial gurus. Reagan fucked up the economy; GHW Bush fucked it up; GW Bush fucked it up, and Pussy-Grabber has done HUGE damage. This trickle down bullshit just never seems to die and has been proven to be a fucking lie time after time. What gives?

dems have always focused on the buying power of the middle class and that is why the economy booms under our leadership. Rethugs simply focus on redistribution of wealth to the top and it crushes the economy but makes their donors happy.

11. Simple answer: false narrative and history of 3 years of economic growth before the crash
Sun Aug 16, 2020, 11:13 PM
Aug 2020

1) Trump's narrative is that he is a phenomenally successful businessman-- never mind the reality of his bankruptcies and numerous business failures. This narrative has been created by years of self-promotion and shows like the Apprentice. Probably the most important determinant and difficult to challenge-- it's a big reason why he doesn't want the tax returns released. His tax returns would help destroy this narrative.

2) 3 years of economic growth, juiced by big corporate tax cuts-- never mind it was really the continuation of the recovery that began under Obama/Biden's economic recovery. People perceive that the success reinforces 1, the narrative.

3) Public willingness to do ANYTHING, include sacrifice American lives (think Covid-19) to push the stock market higher. Ironic, because the "anything" he has done actually has hurt the economy tremendously-- if we had headed off Covid-19 like S Korea and New Zealand we would be much better off.

So people need to hear that 1) Trump was not too successful in business-- it was all smoke and mirrors, 2) that the growth of the economy has been going on since 2009, until Trump crashed it, and 3) he doesn't get that protecting American lives actually helps the economy.

For decades corporate media have treated the Dow as if it is a handy barometer for how well the economy in general is doing. Yesterday I heard someone in corporate media mention that the Dow is nearing a record high. There may be many who still think of it as a barometer and that everything is going great. Trump will run on it.

... and that word is "trickle". Because that's what it is, a mere trickle. That's what I've always thought whenever I've heard that term. Another thing I've always thought is, Doesn't it percolate up before it trickles down? In other words, that wealth that is in the possession of the upper economic classes was produced by people who actually WORK for a living. So rich people get it from US, it percolates up to them from OUR labors and productivity, before they let a little of it "trickle back down" to us. That's the way I've always seen it. In my own words.

It's a testament to nonsense. It's against common sense. It's against natural law, for God's sake. Ten percent unemployment. Mass evictions on the way. Millions out of work. More millions infected. Deaths on a massive scale. Shadow inflation. People are running out of money. Food lines. Covid testing bottlenecks. Hot spots everywhere.

And Trump's approval ratings for the economy are up?

Nah.

Something's amiss here. Something's not honest.

The term he proudly brags about evokes a visceral reaction. We NEED that visceral reaction to motivate GOTV.

We need women SEETHING with anger. So angry that they will do anything necessary to vote, AND convince as many like-minded women friends, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, significant others TO SUPPORT them. We need them ALL to be angry enough to spit nails, when filling out the ballot.

HE said it. We are using HIS words against him.

Yes, it is an affront to every woman on the planet, and hopefully that is the way it is taken, in these contexts.

Anything that will make the pure sexist, misogynistic, racist, antisemitic, homophobic intentions obvious to others, is worth it. We (any of the offended parties) need to be willing to take one for the team to get rid of this monumental POS.

We DON'T need to put lipstick on THIS pig (make it politically correct).

As HE said.... It IS What It Is. Let's tie it around his neck and drown him with it.

more accurate, not a cutsey for men to giggle at while using, and much more reality based not at the expense of women. But thank you for the answer. That being said, we are not throwing out the n word at every opportunity talking about his racism. No way we would use the power of that word at the expense of blacks.

there's:

Given current conditions, if voters cast a ballot on the basis of the economy, Trump's got trouble. On the other hand, if it's a question of whether Biden would have done a better job handling the economy, the ground is more even: the public splits roughly in thirds on whether, if Biden were president, the economy would be in better shape than it is now (32%), worse (35%) or about the same (30%).
