(31,261 posts)Senator Sanders is to the left of me. Interestingly, the ONLY difference that I have with him is the pace of change that we want. I feel that voters chomp at the bit of too much is thrown at them, determined change works better, where you set a North Star and dont bend from reaching it.

(32,017 posts)I wouldnt say that he represents me, but I have been extremely impressed by his full-throated support of Joe. Bernie is not a natural team player, but this year, when it matters most, hes fighting the good fight.

(1,181 posts)She was talking about how tonight reflects broad support for Joe. The full remark was something like, "John Kasich represents the Republican Party tonight, and we'll hear from Bernie Sanders who represents the left wing of the Democratic Party."
Since, generally speaking, Bernie's politics align with the left wing of Democratic voters, I think her point is well taken.
