"Meet The Press" is trending on Twitter, as Chuck demonstrates why Nicolle got his weekday time slot

It's "Republican Talking Points." That's why I don't quote content from the show here...I'd be in violation of DU's terms of service.

MSNBC has an odd fixation with including shows that would be more at home on Fox. They add a guy like Hugh Hewitt and conclude that the mountain of hate mail doesn't translate into ratings, so they toss Hugh Hewitt.

I've read a bit about how Todd lobbied aggressively to land Meet The Press. I don't know what kind of pull he has with the network, I DO know they moved him back to a "hear the sound of crickets" time slot Monday-Friday, while keeping him as host of MTP.

And today, Twitter is venting over Chuck being Chuck, for inviting on hardcore Trump talking points specialists, and letting them go on at length without challenging anything they say.

It's Chuck! What else can I say? And MSNBC apparently still believes that any publicity is still publicity.

2. I hated Chuck when I first saw him on CSPAN. He was a CSPAN employee.

Kellyanne Fitzpatrick was a frequent CSPAN guest pundit in those days ( late 1990s to early 2000s.)

6. Hilarious! I never saw this on Letterman

... but he was spot on! He never missed a chance to poke his old NBC bosses in the eye either.
I'm sure that was a big part of it.

7. Letterman had such a feeling for detail and nuance

Notice the kiddie cartoon music when introducing Chuck Todd--how fitting!

5. Warning, MTP is on YouTube this a.m. (and probably has Todd on it)...I wouldn't know for 100%

since I don't watch the Sunday news cycles. Sick and tired of the anchors endlessly debate / analysis / etc. and frankly, over what someone else is telling me what to think. Do they think (the Chuck Todds, etc.) we as run-of-the-mill Americans can't think on our own, etc.?

I figured this out after listening to our MORONIC president endlessly mock the media, when so many of what the media was reporting on, was true (and the media failed to stand up for themselves for the most part, cowards). Thus, because of the obviously biased nature of the media outlets that are out there (not all of them), I quit watching them, and instead, watch the direct shots of the PINO, and others, and judge for myself w/o anyone else's opinion such as Chuck Todd's. As far as I'm concerned, he can go jump in the lake, since he seems to have a pretty high opinion of himself.

8. Don't wish to admit their mistake to a larger, less progressive audience?

You'd think his weird, hesitant questioning style would be off putting enough to can him.

It's almost like he can't remember the question he's asking around the mid query point a lot of times.
