Perhaps most important is to keep tRump tied to his chair or podium so he doesn't roam about the stage like some latter-day Lurch.

That should be standard practice at these things...when it's not your turn, your microphone is dead.

He would storm off the stage very quickly if he wasn't being allowed to go over his time limits and interrupt and yell lies while Biden is trying to speak.

They should also have it set up to automatically cut the microphone when it gets to '0', and possibly sound a loud buzzer, as well. The candidates can see how much time is left, and they should know that whatever they say after their time ends will not be heard by anyone watching.

If you are going to have rules about the debates you should also have a mechanism in place to enforce them.

And they should wait between candidates to have that fact checking announced, so he doesn't have to waste his minutes debunking the lies just told.

I really would like Biden, somehow, to tell Dictator-wannabe to his face that he IS a liar and that he will not respond to or dignify any lies or misleading statements. Very blunt and confrontational, yes, but we've never had a debate where one of the people was such a huge pathological liar. Even Nixon and Bush were more honest.

25. Let Trump pick the fact-checker!

Hear me out on this.

Any fact-checker from the MSM will be snickered at by the right-wingers. It will amount to just more of the same.

But letting Trump pick the fact-checker would be a very bold move, putting Trump in uncharted territory.

This touches on a point that I've been making for a while. The alternative media hasn't produced a plausible fact-checking news source. Oh sure, they throw rocks at errors made by the MSM at every opportunity. But those aren't as common as you might think and simply don't add up to a comprehensive right-wing equivalent of FactCheck or PolitiFact.

So call out Trump's blustering and let him twist in the wind with that. He'll puss out entirely or come up with a blatantly biased individual or organization. It just makes Biden look more unflappable and exposes the alternative news for what it is. Maybe he'd choose FXN and risk getting Chris Wallace.

Suspend a nozzle above both of them (to be fair), like that Nickelodeon show that used to dump whatever green stuff it was that they'd dump on people ( they called it "slime" ).

Much hilarity would ensue, counting the nanoseconds before Rump got his first delivery.
