Biden said something today that I applaud with all my heart

He said the real United States history should be taught in every school. He said our original sin is slavery and that Americans need to know its history in our country.

I have thought for years that real history needs to be taught throughout the high school years. Every year and every semester. And our history should be taught in relation to Americans. Women’s History which I took in college because I always hated how US history has traditionally been taught, was one of the best and most influential courses I have ever taken.

I think we could all use some historical knowledge about women, about slavery and it’s aftermath and about our country’s Black history. About Native Americans slaughtered and driven into reservations. About Mexican Americans who have lived here longer than this country has existed. About the Japanese internment during WWII.

American history is the history of all of us. It must be taught as serious curricula. My dream is that these things will become common knowledge. I think it would make us a better country.

He met with Black community members and professionals in their Church. It was in the format of a Town Hall meeting. The public who asked questions were excellent choices of people who were allowed to make their statements and ask their questions. Then he stood and answered all their individual questions. Jill was with him, though she was in the background, so I thought this must be her baby. When she was Second Lady she worked teaching in the Community College in DC.

it's really good that Biden went to Kenosha after the Evil Vile Inciter went.

Soothing after the photo ops & bullshit.

Joe Biden worked on Healing and a perfect place to do it..

I know one of Jill Biden's major issues she supported was Military Families, Joining Forces, with Michelle Obama.

Biden and Harris the Trumps look even worse than they did before. Melania really looks like someone’s version of a shallow and utterly useless ice queen. What is she going to do when her looks are no longer bankable? That’s all she has.

And Trump. He’s a man with fake hair, fake skin color, a rolling lump who barely shows any life in his movements. He lumbers, just letting his arms hang loosely.

Ugh! They can’t be gone soon enough!
