Spreading Covid - a new angle

'Shouting and kicking': Hospitals reveal new source of COVID spread

Delirious patients shouting and roaming in hospital wards have been linked to super-spreading of coronavirus at Melbourne hospitals, as the state continues to grapple with the infection of hundreds of healthcare workers.

Infection prevention staff investigating cases at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western Health, which includes Footscray and Sunshine hospitals, have exclusively told The Age that they believe multiple cases of COVID-19 could have been linked to the behaviour of confused patients.

"We would call them mini super-spreading events," said Dr Marion Kainer, head of infectious diseases at Western Health.

"If a patient is shouting, screaming, kicking or vomiting they are probably expelling a lot more virus particles in the air, and that means that they are more infectious.

of the terrible fevered deliriums patient's suffered and where, in addition, PPE was in short supply and used well beyond its protective capacity. Caregivers really needed CD4 level protocols of fastidiousness to prevent, not just avoid, the risks they took to care for so many. It wasn't flu, it wasn't just a cold gone wrong; nevertheless, it stole away the breath of life.

As inadequate in prevention as they were, we learned what would make our homemade masks better than nothing and marked the day the thief arrived in our state.

Previous administrations were warned and were empowered to make plans.
THIS ONE FEASTED ON A BET IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN ON THEIR WATCH AND LOST BIGLY!

Trump lied and people died; and HE LIKE IT! Did he really understand the gravity and the leadership skills that would be required of him? - not likely any more than he understands his behaviors with whatever captures his attention to outwardly beautiful women.

This is NOT the man to hold this office; he is simply TOO MENTALLY IMMATURE, TOO UNDISCIPLINED AND INCAPABLE OF SELF-DISCIPLINE, and TOO IGNORANT of little outside what makes up and feeds only HIS CONSTITUTION!
