“November Rain” is based on the short story “Without You”, written by Del James and published in his book “The Language of Fear” a few years later. The story is basically about a rock star, grieving over the death of his girlfriend, who had committed suicide.

The Language of Fear
A collection of fifteen short stories that explore the dark side of the human experience, including that of a heavy metal star locked in a war with his TV set, and a married man about to murder his wife at the behest of a dial-a-porn hooker.

The Language of Fear
It features an intro by W. Axl Rose and the short story entitled "Without You," which inspired the Guns N' Roses video "November Rain". The book is long out of print, but copies can sell for a few pounds on online auction sites.

unrequited love for a woman who is depressed and "restrained" from loving him back.

Either way its a bizarre choice for a campaign rally......

are 30 to 50 years out of date. In that context, GnR is just about right for something he likes because he thinks it is a sign of his good taste. IIRC November Rain was considered the best music video ever/of the century by MTV or VH1...

And that music video had that professional model in it who is right up Trump's alley (except not underaged) -- extra thin, extra tall, extra made-up, extra impractical-outfitted. Very Melania/Marla/Ivana.

As someone with a history of bigoted and anti-Semitic lyrics, Axl Rose would seem to be set up as an ardent Trump admire.
