Scientists do. The consensus of the scientific community and international public health organizations is that the coronavirus emerged from bats and later jumped to humans.
But the doctors interview on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" quickly took off, inspiring a rash of social media posts parroting her claims.

(5,631 posts)The constant deluge of lies makes it very hard to keep up. By the time you can get the debunked messages out there, the lies have been spread far and wide.
Any attempt at further debunking is labeled fake news. Something needs to be done. This country can't survive if vast numbers of people are fed bullshit from false news sources within our own country.
We need to bring back the Fairness Doctrine and break up media conglomerates and restrict media to local outlets in local markets with independent owners.
It is going to take a long time to undo the damage done to our country.
