Artifa. Our next door neighbor and our friend across the street were Antifa.

They all fought in WWII against Hitler and Stalin and Lenin abd Mussolini. They were the lucky ones. They all came home.

See! Antifa does exist. Our fathers and uncles and grandfather's and great grandfathers and the wives and sisters who were nurses and menbers of the underground were all Antifa. We follow in their footsteps.

Look at "Global Warming" and "Defund the Police". The true meanings of those, plus Antifa, are not the same as the spin the Nazis put on them.

We need some phrases so simple that even neocons will understand them. Some thought has to be put in.

It's the same thing Putin is fighting for today. We must never forget this.

Russia looks to rule the world while western democracies look to share it.

Russia's intentions were clear in WWII when we made them part of the triumvirate. In the book "The New KGB" it was outlined how Russian emissaries traveled to the US with a list of needs to fight the Nazis. They took everything they could get and more.
Included in their haul were aerial photos of New York City. Hardly useful in fighting the Germans, but very valuable for targeting the US in the future.

NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, FORGET THAT RUSSIA IS OUR ENEMY.

AND TRUMP IS A FILTHY FUCKING TRAITOR.

Russia looks to rule the world....

There are many outside of the USA who would assign that role to the USA - or at least to the deadly 0.1% who rule the USA,

Of course today China and India mess up the whole simplistic binary arguments pro temps,

That still does not change the fact that without Russians fighting and dying in droves on the Eastern front Europe would have fallen - and they were never properly thanked for saving Europe. They got just as dead as the Allies and were no less altruistic in their dying.

However, it was not a foregone conclusion that Eastern Europe would have remained in German hands. Winter on the eastern front stalled Germany as much as the Soviets did. Hitler fighting a world war on 2 fronts had zero chance of succeeding.
And everyone seems to have missed my entire point. Russia was planning a long war against the west. As either a communist dictatorship, or the fascist oligarchy as it currently exists.

Sort of like the real current USA system. It could accurately described as a nascent fascist oligarchy legally bought by some billionaires.

they are not so good at the sharing part, and I used the 3rd world as an example of nations not being too 'shared with'

A false dilemma (or sometimes called false dichotomy) is a type of informal fallacy, more specifically one of the correlative-based fallacies, in which a statement falsely claims an "either/or" situation, when in fact there is at least one additional logically valid option.

all had horrible fathers. Hitler's father beat him so badly he was unconscious fir 3 days. Stalin's father was just as brutal. Trump's father was emotionally brutal.

I always found it odd that Hitler and Stalin both almost went into the priesthood. I guess Hitler could really sing.

And both had weird relationships with their mothers.

Trump doesn't quite fit that pattern. But Hitler and Stalin didn't grow up wealthy. Maybe that was the difference.

But they all had physical deformities. Hitler and Trump had huge sexual priblems and Stalin had a defomed arm. They were all wierdos.

The James Gang went thru OH, KY, WV area robbing banks. There was a cave that JJ hid in the woods below my uncles' house that we knew about and found as kids, a big deal.

Military service from family here 350+ years.

Good point about Hitler and Stalin's abusive fathers which produced tons of aggression, monsters.

As well as a toxic father, Hitler also lost siblings in childhood, his mother had cancer- serious losses and dysfunction. He was the remaining child to survive I think.

I think most if them stayed out of the Civil War. But I don't know that. My grandmother's told me about gorillas raiding the farms nut I thought she meant gorilla gorillas and that made no sense at all.

I think a lot of farm people in Southern Missouri weren't on either side. They just tried to stay out of it. I imagine they were southern sympathizers. I think they were not very wealthy and probably were not slave owners

He was antifa, as were his brothers. My uncle died somewhere in France. I never learned which battle but his buddy had taken a bad hit and my uncle carried him back to safety. My uncle only had a flesh wound so his buddy, also antifa, got the penicillin they were rationing at the antifa field hospital while my uncle died from his infected wound. His buddy survived and my Sicilian grandmother, again, antifa, traveled by herself to a hospital in New York City to hear the story from the buddy. So I hate inadequate healthcare but I hate fascists even more. I guess I'm antifa.

soldiers.

Also, like you, leftyladyfrommo, one of my great great uncles fought in Civil War, though on the Union side.

His regiment, 1ST Missouri Rifles, was the first to sign up in Franklin County, MO. The history of the unit shows that as the traveled by train to Saint Louis they heard that a Confederate band was going to board the train at one upcoming stop and start shooting. The captain of the 1St pulled a gun on the train engineer and demanded that he NOT stop at that station.

They made it to Saint Louis.

Great Uncle August was wounded in the knee in battle and died of his wounds. (Medical treatment was in infancy then, and bullets were large.)
