at this time. Mitch THINKS he has their votes, but they will not endorse Trump's choice for the USSC before and after the Election.

(17,468 posts)It would mean the death of their political positions in the party. They are all members of a right-wing cult and are without honor or morals. They will vote to protect their power. They are smelling blood and only thing that will stop them now would be divine intervention.

(53,742 posts)Gardner, who is in a tough race, puts picking SCOTUS judges above even getting re-elected he knows white women in Denver and Boulder suburbs will most like go blue against trump and him.
Grassley doesn't have to worry, and even if Murkowsky and Coliins are given the green light to vote no by McTurtle, there still aren't four no repug votes. And some are saying Romney might even vote yes before the election.
The silver lining is although Gardner and Tillis might vote yes they'll likely be voted out because of it and we'll win the Senate as Collins is gone no matter what she does, and McSally in Arizona is a sure loser to Kelly.
We just have to expand the court once Joe wins.

(68,456 posts)Trump from getting another judge. That ended in 2016...'but her emails'. Thus let's go all in for the election and overwhelmingly defeat Trump and the GOP senate. That must be our priority.

(18,970 posts)The Reps have already agreed to pass whoever he nominates. He's nominating a total crazy cult member, so expose her before the country during hearings and expose how extreme and crazy the Republican Party is now.
The time for us to fight on this was in 2016 when they stole the Supreme Court pick from Obama. Should have been a 5-4 liberal court the last 4 years which would then flip the other way 5-4 right now.
Dems made a huge miscalculation by thinking it was no big deal because Hillary was going to win. Because of that we're going to lose a ton of the rights that Americans enjoy and Obama Care to boot.

People have to WTF up to the complete menace that the GOP is, stop with the bullshit both siderism and show up EVERY election to vote like their lives depend on it, because they do.

There is nothing much short of an impeachment that will delay the inevitable.
