Has anyone read ABC News's report on Q ?

"ABC News Politics
A potential key to identifying "Q"—the purported persona at the center of the growing QAnon movement—has been hiding in plain sight for years on a Filipino pig farm, experts tell ABC news."

I read about this yesterday and haven't seen it discussed here. Is this legit? I don't know anything about 4chan, 8chan, whatever-chan or about the Q nuts and their conspiracy BS. Is this a joke?

It's absolutely crazy. I think the pandemic and stay at home orders contributed to this massive cyber-cult. I've seen previously reasonable and logical people post and share the most extreme and ridiculous things on FB. The trauma of the pandemic combined with some trump supporters that have witnessed his complete failure as a leader but their need to not be wrong have led them to truly believe there is a massive conspiracy behind everything that ends with Trump saving children from a massive, satanic, liberal plot of pedophilia and drinking children's blood. There's a lot more... but it is all crazy and has infested lots of different groups on social media from alternative medicine, anti-vax, alt-right, etc.

don't know is who/what is this "person"? Does the FBI know, can't they figure it out? If ABC has gotten info I would think our intelligence would be able to find the origins of this dangerous BS and expose him/them or shut them down, arrest them on some grounds. How is this allowed to continue as an anonymous source for so long?

I do think about how it was actually Julie Brown's reporting that finally led to bringing down Epstein when AG Acosta had let him off with a slap on the wrist.... So ironic considering the Q's dismiss journalists as "fake news" but Epstein is a large part of their conspiracy theories... I think there are a few hurdles - he was out of the country for a lot of the time his Q drops were posted and the "freedom of speech" issues... Again... I honestly don't know why so many of the institutions that we have trusted would stand up against things like this have been failing in the past 4 years.
