Trump heading toward a landslide loss gives pause to those who might steal an election

The stakes are rising daily. The calculations they are making increasingly become more fraught with peril. If they reach to steal the White House but end up falling short, what fate awaits them? The worst case scenario they must ponder becomes grimmer by the day. It is far worse than simply being turned out of office, far worse than having future career options narrow. Prison potentially looms on the horizon for co-conspirators, with no one in a position to manipulate the Department of Justice on their behalf, or to issue them pardons if need be.

A high percentage of the American people are conflict avoidant when it comes down to it. If the Trump regime is allowed to fall unimpeded, if the vestiges of its corruption are cleanly swept aside, many might opt for concentrating on the future rather than litigating the past. The most vile acts committed by Trump Administration and Republican political figures won't be swept under the rug by a Biden Administration, but there are inevitably judgement calls that must be made. Is it really worth pursuing so and so over such and such now?

With a peaceful transition of power from a Trump Administration to Joe Biden's, the answer to that question would far more often be no, than it will be if our nation is plunged into a constitutional crisis before the will of the people ultimately emerges triumphant. The difference may come down to who is willing to go down with Trump's ship rather than jumping off it now, as unappealing as the inevitably stormy seas might be to swim in. It is too late for many to politically separate themselves from Trump now, but how many new felony crimes are they willing to participate in during Trump's final days in power?

I understand that states will go after some but I think mostly trump family. Unless some of the staff did some state illegal things.

the more red hot public fury there will be to throw the book at each and every person tainted by the Trump regime, and even pardons can't protect anyone from prosecution for crimes a pardon doesn't cover.

Trump is a criminal who will ensure his fellow criminals are covered at least federally. I’m sure the lawyers are working them as we speak.

8. Put simply, he can't include the kitchen sink

Trump can't pardon someone for all conceivable crimes they may have committed over the last seven years including all matters that are both known and unknown at the time of the pardon. And when the public, and a justice system trying to recover from the stench of Barr, is out for blood no stone will be left unturned in attempts to uncover potentially illegal doings, even those unrelated to politics in any way, perpetrated by Trump's minions. Remember, Al Capone was jailed for tax evasion. And yes, many, many possible crimes can be prosecuted under State laws, and the pressure to do so would be immense against criminals who attempted to take down our Democracy.

Trump will only pardon people in his inner circle, and knowing Trump, he may choose to not pardon anyone because they didn't do enough to ensure a win.

3. Desperate men will resort to desperate actions.

And yes, I deliberately said men. Unfortunately, men are the primary proponents of the testosterone-fueled, alpha male, approach to all things, especially politics.

There are many in the tRump* administration this very morning, that are having their own personal "come to Jesus" moment. Many now realize that tRump*s power is beginning to wane, and increasingly it looks as though tRump* will (eventually) lose the presidential election. There will be no tRump* cover for illegalities, and it also appears that the American people are worn out and tired from all of the tRump* antics and actions. The tRump* show is growing old and the electorate is about to say "your fired" for real.

5. Where are the Russian trolls

I’m noticing markedly fewer obvious Russian trolls on social media, suggesting that they’ve either learned to be less obvious, or Putin has decided it’s a lost cause and given up on Trump because he’s about to lose in a landslide.

If he sits around and does nothing that would be best. But if he decides to use his 10 weeks to cause havoc, he could probably do some damage. Although at a certain point, you'd think people would start ignoring his orders.

I also think a President-elect Biden could be even more vocal about these types of things, should they come up.

and OFFER BIG REWARDS to anyone who knows about, and can provide PROOF of ANY variation of election tampering, from writing computer code, to frivolously challenging voters, to destroying or purposely delaying ballots until they can't be counted.

It is amazing what amount of honesty money can buy.

AND guaranteed jail time.
