And it was basically squandered by trying to be nice to scorpions. If we get another, will the lesson have been learned?

If every citizen had a guaranteed right to vote, reasonable access to vote, and assurance that their vote would COUNT (get rid of gerrymandered districts, maybe find a way to end winner take all elections so that new ideas can find a place at the table), then we would see an end to this corporate controlled political system.
Which is why I have a hard time imagining it would ever be allowed to happen.
