They’ll figure out why pretty soon and adjust, but really we’ve got to stop putting any faith in the polls until they prove they can be consistent and accurate.

4. Media has been reporting on how Trump was closing the gap with Hispanic voters

in Miami-Dade for months now.

Voters susceptible to the "Biden is a socialist" message have been hammered with propaganda in Spanish-language media all summer.

But on 538 the final poll average had Joe up by 4 or so in FL. He’s down by 3. That’s a big swing - bigger than just the Cubans.

Something is rotten with these polls.

We still have a good shot with MI, PA, and WI but it’s gonna be much closer than was forecast.

It sounds like the Cuban-American relationship wasn't handled the best, but I don't see how it accounts for what is we are seeing.

13. IMO Obama really dropped the ball on US-Cuban relations.

It took him 8 years to soften US-Cuban relations when he could've been working hard to resolve it. If the embargo was lifted the picture would be a lot different and right wing American Cuban's would have been effectively neutered.

"communist/socialist" type regimes. Cubans alone are not a majority when it comes to Hispanics in Florida. They may be the largest single segment but there are many others.

Meanwhile Biden is underperforming Clinton there.

Nikki Haley (I think it was) said that most of the money that the trump campaign spent in florida in recent days was spent on cuban radio. Apparently it paid off in bringing out conservative cuban-Americans in Miami-Dade as well as Broward (where he picked up another 70k over 2016) and Palm Beach (50k more than 2016).

They hate socialism, which is why Bernie got absolutely clobbered in the state in the primaries. Trump tied Biden to the Bernie wing of the party and Biden being Obama’s VP when we opened relationships with the other Castro.

Miami-Dade has fears of socialists but also extreme reliance on tourism. Younger population in Miami-dade not fearing death but fearing more shut downs.

Also, Florida culturally, is on par with the rude disgusting man in the WH. his behavior does not bother them. Love for the strong man, no aversion to drugs and cheating. This (my) state is not a state that believes in strong moral character. Not even an issue.
