How come the pollsters were wrong but Nancy knew enough on Tuesday to say the House would be ready

Vote if there were a tie?

There is some sort of two-tiered polling system -one for us and one for insiders.

1. I doubt she knew something the pollsters didn't, but

she probably wanted to make it clear that the House had a plan if it came down to a tie.

2. well there is a two tiered polling system

but even those polls were showing what the rest were. She was just being prudent, not prescient.

11. The Speaker knew the lessons of 2018, before and after the election. It was an anti-trump vote.

It was not about a 'blue wave'.

Same here. The Speaker knew, Dem primary voters did not know, or learn.

7. Because Nancy is smart. Nancy Pelosi Rocks!

I still shake my head in disbelief at all those who insulted her... who said SHE was too old... who wanted to dismiss her and put "new blood" in as our party's leadership.

8. I told my sister once - Nancy can count the votes

Until now I thought that was limited to the House of Representatives. I agree, though. She knows stuff!
