It's not happening. So far EVERY state that has signed up over the past 20 years has been blue. No Red or Purple states. They're not going to give up their power.

4. Why would Republican states sign onto this?
They have no incentive since they've lost the popular vote in most of the last elections.

5. My guess is they hope to persuade and they lose nothing by trying.
Arizona may turn blue, maybe we can get them on board from there.

6. The previous posts are correct, red states will never go along with this
The EC gives GOPers a built in 2 to 3 percent advantage, they'll never give that up.
