Sadly, we have the deaths of over 200,000 Americans to thank for this victory

With many more deaths to come before it's over.

Considering how narrow Biden's victory will be, and that Biden is winning while Trump has actually received more votes in this election than in 2016, I think we can feel certain that without the tragedy of COVID-19, our electorate would have overlooked the lies, the corruption, the incompetence, the children in cages and families ripped apart, the abuse of power, the disdain for the environment, the trashing of our international alliances while cozying up to dictators... and on, and on, and on.

Only the horror of so much death, and the economic impact of the virus, was enough to break through the complacency, the ignorance, or the delusion of just enough voters to save us from Trump.

It's like the death toll from a violent rebellion against a mad king, but none of the casualties volunteered for the fight, or signed up for the cause.

Every president faces some sort of crisis and trump not only failed it but made it much much worse. Covid victims didn’t die for nothing.

the way Trump handled it. Had Trump done a better job in handling it and made the effort to protect US citizens during this pandemic I definitely believe he would have won. I know some people who are republicans that voted for Biden only because of the way Trump handled Covid but voted republican for all the other races in this election. Also I know people who were apathetic that didn't vote in '16 and wasn't going to vote in this election until Trump screwed up with Covid that they decided to vote for Biden.

I'm saying all of this because Biden has to try to do something major or else he won't be able to win in 2024. I know Mitch will block him so the odds of him passing something are not to good but he has to make the effort or convince the American people that he's trying to make things better.

was the national mail in ballot. For instance, everyone in Georgia was allowed to vote by absentee ballot. It is those paper ballots being counted now that offset voting on machines. I have been convinced since Georgia started voting on those machines beginning in 2004 that results have been manipulated to favor the GOP. Just a gut feeling I've had.

And the deaths are going to continue. It’s not like trump could have prevented the virus but his actions have led to the staggering numbers.
