My brother has it now; he is a serious bell collector
I rang my bell, one I made from an oxygen cylinder, painted black. My brother has another one I made, one with an applied copper finish that developed a wonderful patina. I laugh when I see it, and don't dare tell him what I did to turn in green.

I assume it's cast iron, no? And it was painted black until recently when I spray paint painted it acryllic copper gloss.

have told me otherwise
Our bell was never painted; unlike the steel oxygen cylinder, cast iron weathers well in the elements
