Only one on stage without it.
Somebody from family or staff should tell him to put it on.

(22,418 posts)Someone with deep knowledge of infectious diseases needs to teach him those basics. As of now, he's not consistently doing it safely. He's my president now and I want to make sure he's being cared for in all ways. This issue of donning and doffing worries me.

(1,351 posts)They will criticize him for everything, like they criticized Obama for wearing a tan suit. Lets develop some thicker skin and worry about whats important going forward. If we fall into the trap of giving oxygen to the slightest criticism of Biden we will fall into the trap of being on defense all the time.
As for the mask, I initially had that some thought flick through my head (put the mask back on Joe or FOX news will criticize you!). Then I stopped myself and thought No, Im not falling for that again. Im going to ENJOY this moment.
If Joe was constantly going around without a mask, sure, but he always wears a mask and this was HIS NIGHT. He was outside, everyone around him were wearing masks, and he would have been tested before going to make that speech. So the risk to anyone, including his (grandchild?) that he was holding was miniscule. He did nothing wrong.
