(57,073 posts)The beautiful spark of hope & determination on the faces & in the demeanors of young Black men in Grant Park in 2008 was so wonderful, too! I love seeing this on this beautiful young lady!

(10,036 posts)In 4 years after exemplorable service, Kamala ought to be able to move into the presidents office. I know there are plenty of oldsters who wouldn't vote for a woman yet, but they'll be changing their minds.

Just sayin'.

(25,586 posts)Rather sick and tired of winning the popular vote decisively and still being declared the loser because the REAL loser got more Electoral Votes than the actual VOTE OF THE PEOPLE winner did.

(49,768 posts)the first pic is very moving and clarifies, if needed for some, the historic nature of Kamala Harris' win. The second pic moved me to tears, again history in the making.

(36,751 posts)That's another one that makes me smile and brings tears at the same time!
Thanks for posting this, I could look at it a thousand times and react strongly every time.

I love that portrait of Michelle Obama. Gorgeous. Elegant. Dignified. Regal but still approachable. Makes you proud. Makes you want to stand up straight and use your best manners.

(1,654 posts)Why is it that a man can assume that pose and he is described as confident or competent looking, etc. Up to now a woman assuming that stance in public was referred to "bossy looking," "arrogant" and a lot of other even less flattering terms. Damn she looks great!

(80,700 posts)She sure DOES!
SHE is the Next Vice President of the United States!
I will tell my granddaughters about this day. One of 'em will be two years old by the time Harris takes the oath of Office, and her little sister will be almost here! Due date is end of January! Their world is looking better by the day!
