For those keeping score, weve now seen 7 veteran career prosecutors resign from 4 different high-profile cases (Stone, Flynn, Durham, now this) to protest Barrs political weaponization of DOJ.
Attorney General William P. Barr met with Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader, at the Capitol on Monday.

(12,581 posts)We're running out the clock here. True, it will now take more time for the criminals to actually make up the evidence and build their "cases" to go before a judge, but it also means that if the hacks are lucky with their judge-shopping, they may actually be able to do some serious damage instead of the what would normally be a tacit slow-walking that actual, experienced prosecutors with some modicum of honor and/or shame might do to to run out the clock before the electoral college meets.
There's a bit of cowardice at this point with just quitting. I'm a Vet - most military people understand that defense is as critical as offence, and if you truly believe in the Constitution and Rule of Law, quitting is not an option. Make the fucking criminal fire you.
Unless they know for sure that they won't just be replaced by a souless zombie, they will be complicit to the ruination of the rule of law in this country by omission.
