from a state with a Democratic governor who would be ok to give a cabinet position to like Ag secretary or something like that, that would get us another Democratic Senator? Just thinking out loud. I mean Obama has Chuck Hagel.

(6,666 posts)I understand, the governor could appoint a Democratic Senator and add to the tally, but it isn't worth it. Not a single one stood up when it counted. I would not expect them to do the right thing in the Cabinet either.
