from PBS NewsHour:

'Saturday marks four years since the passing of our co-anchor, colleague and friend Gwen Ifill.

"As we come close to the end of a busy year of news, we like to think that she's looking over our shoulder and smiling," Judy Woodruff said in closing Friday's NewsHour.

During an interview published in early 2016, when talking about her work supporting young journalists and promoting news literacy, she said, "We can’t expect the world to get better by itself. We have to create something we can leave the next generation." '

Sherrilyn Ifill walks the walk - I wonder if they are relatives of that large and distinguished Ifill family from St Vincent and the Grenadines.

"Ifill was born in the Queens neighborhood of Jamaica in New York City,[5] the fifth of six children[6] of African Methodist Episcopal (AME) minister (Oliver) Urcille Ifill, Sr., a Panamanian of Barbadian descent who emigrated from Panama, and Eleanor Ifill, who was from Barbados.[7][8]" (I don't know enough geography, so I don't know if this means they are or aren't relatives!)

the building of the canal. Makes sense. I will ask my Ifill friends here in JA if they are part of the Bajan Ifills or if the Bajan Ifills are part of them. The first great West Indian cricketer was George Headley. He had a Bajan father and a Jamaican mother. They were all in Panama and he only ended up living here because of a US visa problem.

No doubt they were all Garveyites.
Thanks for that input.

Bajan is Barbadian. To be 100% accurate, Barbados is in the Atlantic but we all say we're in the Caribbean, because the Caribbean sea carries the name of Indigenous People rather than the Colonial BS -West Indies.

I believe she would have told Trump that if he kept interrupting she would cut his mic. And I believe she would have!
