Flash forward four years from now

Sadly, no one will remember the crazy behavior trump is doing now they will only remember the things that Trump will say over and over again. That election was stolen and that he refused to play a part in all the festivities.

He is a master at media and mental brainwashing.

Biden, I hope, changes all the dynamic! Hope he hires master PR people and supports replacement of old-thinking leadership before then ! I am very hopeful, but then there's trump in the horizon.

The monster that let so many vulnerable people die is roasting in Hell.

I have always been an optimist.

The Dems have a deep bench. Abrams, Castro(s), Booker, Harris, Lujan.. and my own rep, Kilmer. The Repubs have tired, old, retread white guys....and some no-names.

Everytime. But when we had both houses our fellow Democrats didn’t unite effectively and we didn’t get enough through. Including universal health.

So years later here we are still.

That trump may run again. If he's not in jail or in Russia, I could see him trying that. Trumpass Jr. as well.

What's the general consensus on Joe running for a second term? Can Kamala win the presidency?

Look how big Palin was right after her election loss. She was a shoe in for the next presidential race. 4 years later she was almost irrelevant. I'm hoping the same fate happens with trump.

The right-wing looney tunes propaganda network isn't going away, and the whole Republican Party has a massive appetite for utter insanity.

Their sick fantasy worldview of white male christian resentment will fester unhindered by the burden of actually governing.

The danger will continue until we seriously wallop the electorally. Maybe come after the 2030 census the gerrymandering is not so bad and we can get a huge majority in the house and at least a comfortable majority in the senate as demographics continue to help us.

But really, we need the kind of majorities fdr had. Then everyone will recognize republicans as the lunatic fringe they are.

with all the Trump bullshit going on, the silence from most of the Dems is just deafening. Are they scared of Trump's base coming after them? Are they just timid?

My god, put the shoes on the other foot and we would have countless Republicans lambasting the Dems endlessly. I don't think the Dems need to emulate the Republicans, but, where is the passion? The reason? The effective language? The inspiration?

Easy to say from here, I guess.
