Most Likely, Trump Can Get Away with Stonewalling the Transition

until the Electoral College votes are in. Once that happens, he'll no longer be able to block the Biden transition team. Bad as that sounds, it's likely that is what will end up happening. Legally, Biden won't be the President-Elect until then.

Of course, that's an unheard-of course of action for a President who will be leaving office, but it looks like what Trump has in mind.

I am willing to bet she will still block it somehow.

Remember, all of them break the law every day, they don't bother to show up when subpoenaed and the 2nd biggest criminal in America, Bill Barr is in charge of whether or not their crimes are crimes!

But I dont know the details of this, if someone can show me a FOOL proof way to go around this traitor, then great!

... for the holidays, and never come back. He'll just turn Mar-A-Lago into his "new" white house so to hell with him. He won't even show for Biden's inauguration.

Does anybody care?

11. Well, he'll probably wait until December 14 to do that.

He probably still won't concede the election, and almost certainly won't be at the inauguration.

If he does leave and hole up in Merde-a-Culo, maybe the decontamination of the White House can get underway, to make it ready for President Biden and the First Lady to move right in.

The law that's being ignored for starting the transition process apparently has no teeth, and even if it did, who's going to prosecute non-compliance?

We're getting feeble excuses and baseless claims of voter fraud now, but even after the Electoral College votes are in, there's nothing to stop Trump and his minions from saying "I'm not doin' it 'cuz I don' wanna!" when it comes to helping with the transition. That's all they're essentially doing now anyway, only with a transparent charade on top of it.

Since there's apparently no bottom most Republicans won't sink to, they could even make a mess of the counting of the electoral votes on Jan. 6, turn what was once a purely ceremonial task into a knock-down, drag-out fight to try to deny the election to Biden.

It probably would not work before then.

Your general analysis is correct, though, and it applies to thousands of acts of the Trump administration over the past 4 years. They just say, “I’m not gonna do that cuz you can’t make me!” And it turns out that they are right. We can’t make them do much of anything.

Unless she gets hired by a right wing entity she should be unemployable and driven to destitution. And history will not look kindly upon her for her defiance.

I am so sick of these repukes with their party over country attitude. Shame on them and I hope they are cursed after their 4 years of ignoring our constitution, traitors and liars.

I still don't think he ever intended to win or wanted to, but once he won he had fun showing how bad he could be and get away with it.

Now he is using money for fighting election to pay himself just as usual. If money stopped he would concede. He has had no use for the actual job and is glad to dump it on Joe especially if he can make it a pile of crap before he goes.

I bet the republican leaders including Trump laugh their asses off at how much they have gotten away with. They in truth are happy to have Joe win to fix their messes again and take care of covid, knowing Joe will do the right thing and make their people wear a mask. Especially since they have the senate, they will see to it no matter how much Joe will try he gets nothing. They will tease him and make the dems offer more and more to the right until their laws are nothing we would want.
