All of a sudden, my default country is India, not the USA. All the prices were in the 100's and 1000's. Then I noticed I wasn't in the United States anymore. Now I have to reset it every time I shop. Anyone else have this happen?

I googled Amazon.com again. The page always has amazon.com to the right of the usual list of site choices. I have been going to that one lately just for convenience. I instead went to "official site" and that one had the USA as my home country. Will do that from now on.

(612 posts)I bought something from Amazon and I was sent 2 of the same item. I tried to log in to my account, but I couldnt. Resetting the password would not work. Called Amazon repeatedly before it was worked out.
Someone in India took over my account, claimed that they never received the order, got a gift card to replace the order, and bought PlayStation stuff on the gift card.
So, I had to close out my account and open up a new account with a new email (which I only use for Amazon). I change my password on a regular basis now.
Hope this helps.
