Seemed watered down it some ways that disappointed me.
Expected far better coverage of Trump's criminality on recent display and
Republican seditious behavior.

(18,486 posts)Not sure what you new pizazzy take you expected her to bring to a day-old story that has been covered nonstop on her network and elsewhere for the last 24 hours with no new developments, but ok ...
COLGATE4
(14,791 posts)Starting with the first segment about the 79 year old gal who's "not afraid of yhe covid vaccine". Went downhill from there.

(14,791 posts)occurring nationally the introductory segment is usually about topics of national interest. Not listening to an unremarkable senior citizen in New Orleans opine that she's not concerned about the Covid-19 vaccine because she "believes in science".

(14,791 posts)comments without having even seen the piece in question. The lead segment wasn't about "the pandemic as a story of national importance." Nothing about, for example, the new mutant strains of the virus that are at least 70% more infectious. No, instead it was a fluff, feel-good (to Rachel) piece about a senior in New Orleans who thinks science is swell and isn't afraid of the vaccine. An "isn't that sweet?" piece of very limited value.

that kinda surprises me--rachel is a political news junkie (or i assume she is) so... wth?

(639 posts)I thought the woman from New Orleans was a good human interest piece; Amy Klobuchar is always interesting, and tonight she gave me a little bit of hope for a week that I'm really dreading. If I find a news show that I find boring I just turn it off. I don't feel like I have to point out to everyone that I was disappointed with it and found it watered down.
But that's just my opinion and you're certainly entitled to yours.

(1,261 posts)Informative and interesting, the elderly lady in the opening was a good human interest piece and positive message to those who are still hesitant about taking the vaccines.

I thought she covered the traitors very well with Amy Klobuchar
