So Cheetolini is "not expected to" pardon himself, Don Jr, Ivanka, or Eric.

I am assuming that someone got through his thick skull and convinced him that not only would those pardons INVITE additional investigations but would also stack the deck against him at his Senate impeachment hearing.

I think you can bet the farm on Miller still being on the list, along with every other swamp dweller. If he pardons the organic food lives with mom horn and furs guy, I see it as the same as pardoning himself when it comes to the Senate, but who the hell knows at this point.

And I don't think he's giving his kids a thought. I think it's all about what he sees as best for himself.

Big caveat, this DID come from John Roberts at Fox News. He's no Hannity, but it's still Fox:

John Roberts
@johnrobertsFox
Sources with knowledge of the process tell
@FoxNews
that President Trump is NOT EXPECTED to issue "protective" pardons to members of his family, and is NOT expected to attempt a protective pardon for himself.

1. So does that mean the whole family is taking and runner?

Or are they so stupid as to think they are invincible?

15. I'm skeptical.🤔 He might be saying this to get people off of his back until the last moment.

.

They're pathological liars who do the opposite of what they say.

16. You may be right, he can grant pardons and keep them secret

until they are brought forward in court. That is probably the more likely scenario.

2. I saw John Harwood say the same thing today, but he didn't cite sources...

...and the CNN host didn't really notice he said it.

For now I am SURE he will pardon his family members. And I'm 90% convinced he will pardon himself. If he doesn't, I assume he has backup plans to flee the country.

3. He can issue pardons they keep secret until needed.

We will only know once they start getting charged with crimes.

12. Absolutely he will issue "secret" pardons.

For himself and all of his family members.

Really what has he got to loose by doing this? They all have a secret get out of prosecution & jail card in their pocket.

And he can only do this while he is in power. I would be more shocked if the DIDN'T do this.

13. Absolutely, nothing to lose at all. A secret get out of jail card.

Yes I would be really shocked if he didn't do it.

4. Unexpected until it actually happens

at which time many will remind us that they expected it all along.

5. The Trump spawn, as well as His Lardship himself, are in greatest danger

from the Manhattan D.A., as to which a pardon wouldn't do any good. Pardoning himself would just encourage federal prosecutors to take a shot at him - too risky, considering that self-pardoning is iffy at best.

Trump: I just pardoned myself.

Prosecutor: Hold my beer.

Eric to confess to everything and get a pardon. trump probably sees him as the most worthless of the brood.

7. I wonder if anyone explained to him that any federal charges awaiting his kids are dwarfed by

the state charges they are facing that he can't do anything about.

I'm sure his little scions would much prefer to do federal time than get incarcerated in a New York state prison - leaving federal charges on the table gives them something to bargain with ...

8. If he pardons himself, he'd then have to tell the truth when testifying

No pleading the fifth, and no getting caught lying or perjury.

14. I'm not going to rule it out yet. Until Mr. Biden is sworn in, then I'll breath a little better,

gulp some fresh air, and not hold my breath as much. I got a feeling that Mr. Biden will be on the watch for all of us, so we don't have to be quite so hyper watchful like we have been with trump and his thuggish administration and cronies. If anything, nail them for breaking the law wherever you find it. We must reinforce the word of law and justice, and get rid of the profit takers that have taken over the reins of government to enrich their own pockets.

19. So how does he leave office without risk of federal legal exposure?

If he’s not going to pardon himself, and if he’s not going to resign Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and have pence pardon him, then he will be exposed after 12 pm Wednesday.
