Like probably all of you, I am fed up with the lies being told by politicians (by the R kind) and the media (by the R kind). There may be instances for our folks, but it is MUCH smaller and far less frequent.
Do you have any websites that you use to check facts? The two best that come to my mind are:
https://www.factcheck.org/
and
https://www.snopes.com/
That being said, perhaps I am wrong about these and am obviously excluding others since I don't know about that.
It would be great to compile a list of excellent websites that we could go to that can help debunk the nonsense that seems to be engulfing us.
All suggestions welcome.

Fwiw, our best protection is guarding what we put in our mental store of knowledge that we run new input through for first evaluation. Disinfo should be stopped at the gate through an informed "Now, come on, how likely is that to be true?"
I mention that because long ago I discovered that my brain was storing as truth "information" from the National Inquirer a neighbor passed along to me, even though I chuckled and frowned over their propaganda lies and outrageous silliness strictly for fun. My awareness that what I read was garbage with an agenda somehow didn't get stored along with what was unintentionally retained.
I've since confirmed that danger in how the brain processes what we offer it.
