I think its worth noting that based on the current arguments coming from McConnell and Republicans in the Senate there is no date right date or time to address impeachment issues and more specifically no crime so egregious to even warrant impeachment.
This, in and of itself, is a violation of their oath of office.
Impeachment is in the Constitution. It is therefore Constitutional. To ignore the clause as not needed or important is to deny the Constitution. To deny the duty of your office.
Don't let Republicans get away with ignoring their Constitutional duty.

(82,849 posts)It's the House's duty to impeach. The Senate has the sole power to try impeachments. Any Senate Republican who proffers the "you can't try Trump's second impeachment, he's already out of office" needs to explain in detail who should conduct the impeachment trial if they're shirking their constitutional imperative.
