Proud liberal 80

Why doesn't Gina Careno, dean cain, John voight, James woods, etc

And all these other conservative actors and entertainers start their own entertainment company. They always cry about liberal Hollywood and getting ‘canceled’ and how others don’t accept their views. Then why do they want to be part of them so bad. They should start their own entertainment company and see how well it goes. I doubt it would succeed because their product would suck that even conservatives would be bored...I always thought that the reason why most people in the Arts are liberal is because you have to have a certain mind to write great music or movies, or perform and that’s normally a mind that’s diverse, philosophical, caring, open, etc....

1. There is a whole subculture of conservative films, mostly Xian themed, of course, and the one thing

they share in common is how shitty their quality is. Bad acting, bad writing (really dumb self-owns in a movie they controlled every aspect of!), bad shots, bad sound, bad editing, etc.

3. Because no $$$. You can't attract top talent on the cheap. Top talent won't

get involved with shitty projects that don't inspire them, and won't offer the promise of a good financial return.
This goes for both sides of the camera.

2. A "conservative" entertainment industry would not make money, and they know it.

If it could make money, it would already exist.

Art can't easily be divided by "ideology", and remain relevant. Example: Ted Nugent.

He had a couple of really good bands back in the day, and I will not deny him his props on that, nor his guitar playing ability.

The minute he went all Great White Hunter and Red White and Blue, the best band he ever had fell apart. He was soon a county fair side show, and still is to this day.

Why? He began to base his music in his politics, and the "camouflage culture". Duck Dynasty with a Les Paul guitar.

Booooorrrrrrring...

...you lost me with "I will not deny him his props on ... guitar playing ability."
He is NOT a good guitar player.
In 3 bands he was in, he wasn't the best guitar player in his own band.
He's got 3 riffs in his whole portfolio.
When he was 18, he was probably good, but he never got any better.
IMO, he's a hack.
I agree with the rest of your points.

6. D. W. Griffith, Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks

Formed United Artists back in the day so it would not be unprecedented that artists form their own company/organization, the only problem is Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks had talent and their skills were in demand, were as Careno, Cain, Voight and Woods, don't. However nothing is stopping them and other like them from doing their own thing. I hear Kirk Cameron is doing very well for himself acting in movies and tv that appeals to conservatives so they should consider go that route seeing that is where their fan base is now days.

They’ve done quite well with things the way they are. Why on earth would they “start their own entertainment company?

I don’t get this thread about actors who are way past their prime...and they all did pretty well anyway.

Cain, Woods, Voight and the like don't sell movie theater tickets that puts the butts in the seats.

The conservative fan base won't go or buy the video's either unless they can stick it to the libs and sticking it to libs will only work once at best before all the conservative discretionary cash goes to their churches, guns, ammo, porn and beer again.

Besides, now they are all going to stick it to the libs buying pillows so no extra cash for movies anytime soon.
