We have at least one witness approved and others might soon follow. The door is now opened for any number of first-hand accounts to be put on the record. Who knows where this might lead, but I'm confident that there won't be significant refutation of what we already know, only--or mostly--corroboration. If they get to Goodman, Tuberville, Pelosi, anybody in the White House during the siege--any number of people--anything could happen.

(833 posts)But who knows what chuckleheaded lawyers might do? The Carolina Whiner has threatened to call in the FBI. Now, he might be bluffing. But he is chuckleheaded, so who knows?

(11,327 posts)The Senate awarded him a medal which would make him a difficult witness to deny. If of course, he was witness to the terrorists claims that they were called to their actions by the president?

(833 posts)Repugs would hate to hear him tell what he saw and heard, regardless of their vote to honor him. Tuberville would be great; he could tell--and probably would tell, under oath--what he heard dump say on the phone call. Pelosi would be great because she'd shred them. I really can't think imagine any witness that would be good for the repugs. As several TV talking heads have noted, it's not as if there's tape of rioters not sieging the Capitol or dump calling for the rioters to stop. There's no audio of rioters shouting, "Protect Mike Pence! Save Nancy Pelosi!"
