Harris doesn't get a tie-breaking vote, but they aren't getting 301 witnesses. But yeah Jason Miller. He's freaking out because they got called on their bluff.

That seems rather obvious. They knew this was a possibility and had planned for it accordingly.

Miller and also Graham had threatened to call a huge number of witnesses if the Dems did.

Graham had already threatened to call countless witnesses. This is just a bluff trying to intimidate the House managers.

Clearly, the managers knew what to expect, as well. They also understand that the Senate majority controls the witness process, so it's an empty threat.

Lindsay doesn't need Trump to be an asshole. Same with Cruz, Hawley, and numerous others.

Unlike most people, I think Lindsay does some stuff just to be a dick rather than that Trump told him to. I think this is one of those times.

Besides, Trump is allegedly "stunned" that witnesses are even a possibility. Not buying it, but let's assume for a moment that's true. Lindsay wouldn't have come up with a list of 300 witnesses at the behest of Trump if Trump thought witnesses had no chance of being called.
