in slowing the spread of Covid. I think individual states, cities and school districts are addressing this. Of course school districts are broke, no $$$ to upgrade the old ventilation systems. That is where the individual districts have to decide what their priorities are. Schools with low income families will suffer the most, as usual. It seems that the inner city schools have the problem more than districts who are more suburban.

I do not trust any of them since I have a lot of experience with this. The $$$ is the priority over the students' or staffs' health. This is why we need the unions to protect the kids and staff. CTA (CA Teachers Assoc) is running tons of ads on TV in CA pushing for safer schools, including ventilation. I am glad to see that!!

Once the Johnson and Johnson vaccine is approved we can add another million vaccines every day, getting us up to four million injections daily. We can do this in time for full summer school enrollment.

I see 600 students in person per week and have been since August. Thank you Governor Pritzker!

I am so much less stressed about going into the buildings in which I teach.
