RUNAWAY CRUZ HAS A SOFT, PLEASANT LIFE. Meet Cristian, the 11-year-old boy who froze to death

RUNAWAY CRUZ HAS A SOFT, PLEASANT LIFE. Meet Cristian, the 11-year-old boy who froze to death in his family's trailer while Ted Cruz's family plotted escape from their mansion to Cancun: 30 dead on Texas' sixth day of misery as state runs out of water

Cristian Pavon's mother found him unresponsive Tuesday after his home in Conroe lost power at the weekend
The boy, who had no pre-existing conditions, had been excited to see snow for the first time Monday
He is one of at least 30 people to have died in Texas and 47 nationwide who have died since the storms struck
A man froze to death in his recliner chair with his 'nearly dead' wife beside him in their home in Abilene

An 11-year-old Texas boy died of suspected hypothermia in his family's mobile home hours before Ted Cruz abandoned his state and jetted off on a holiday to Cancun at the height of the power crisis that left millions of people without heat and water for days.

4. I heard a 12 year old boy on NPR

tell how his family coped. They wore extra clothes, used candles to see, and collected snow to melt for drinking, washing, and doing dishes. A neighbor was sick and alone, so he and his family took water and food to her because "We have to look out for each other." But he was concerned about the temperature warming up and melting the snow because he didn't know if they would have water then.

5. They needed a trigger alert on the story at the link. I am heartsick and fighting to keep ...

... myself civil. I live among the people who support those who created and will actualy profit from this disaster. We've only been a weather event away from this. They hung this over us. I have several friendships out here that are under review. There will be people I will be avoiding.

7. To misquote an old Corrs song for corrupt purpose -

"I would runaway"
"I would runaway"
"Oh yeah"
"I would runaway"
"I would runaway from you!"
