Whenever there is "Royal Family" Reports in the media

I'm reminded once again of the greatest scam in human history. That is, convincing people one family's heritage, lineage, blood, whatever you like, is so special (derived from God, WTF) they are deemed to rule over everyone else. And many people accept this BS.

The flimflam continues.

4. Along those lines, I am reminded of Jesus.

(I'm an atheist, but I can imagine these things.) Jesus supposedly lived 33 (34?) years as a human man, and probably fathered children who had children. Their descendants walk among us... maybe they ARE us! Why are we not worshipped!

If Jesus was gay, on the other hand, he may not have fathered children, and yet he is worshipped by people who hate gays.

It's a crazy world.

Harry (via Megan) has fully embraced the fact that the Royals were always just celebrities but on a different platform.

He now understands the "royalty" gig isn't any different than the "Hollywood" gig. And now he can control the media bullshit rather than letting the racist older generation (I'm looking at you Liz and Phillip) control how they're represented

6. Do you have a specific one in mind? I find it interesting that everyone jumped to the Brits.

My mind went to the Brits because their royals adapted after the French Revolution to make their legitimacy more acceptable. The guillotine has a way of concentrating the mind, apparently. Nevertheless, the British thrive today, even while existing on the dole.

I don't get it.

and Romanovs wandering around quietly counting their money, or whatever is left of it. A few royalty, like in Spain and Netherlands still have their titles, but hardly ever use them. Most countries abolished their royalty even before WWII.

The Brits, however, saw the disappearance of the empire and consequent poverty so decided to make a few bucks off of the largely useless family and organized a huge tourist business to cover the the costs of those drafty castles.

And that's where we are now.

And they don't have any say in politics...that was done away with a long time ago. The British people pay about the cost of a Starbucks coffee in tax to Her Majesty. The citizens provide security.

And the Brits DID, at one time, do away with their Monarch (the chopped his head off) and turned into a Republic. They decided they wanted their Monarch back.

Getting off my soapbox now...
