A Proud Boys leader obtained a lookalike's passport so he could flee the country, DOJ says.
Offering an "absurd "explanation, he said:
- it belonged to his wife's ex-bf
- she kept it for years, to be reminded of her ex
- she kept it in their marital bedroom, next to her passport
