This is a debunked and hypocritical talking point. Republicans falsely claim that Judge Garland refused to answer all of their nearly 850 questions, but were ok with former AG Barr evading question after question posed by Democrats AND Republicans. Let's take a look (THREAD)
Tom Cotton
@SenTomCotton
Democrats are trying to expedite Judge Garlands confirmation vote. Im blocking them because Judge Garland has refused to answer basic questions, including whether illegally entering the country should remain a crime.

Remember when AG Barr said he wouldnt comment about the Zero Tolerance Initiative that drove the Trump family separation policy because he didnt know all its details?
Image
Remember when AG Barr was asked what constitutes a high crime and misdemeanor under the Constitution and replied that he had not studied the question?
Image
Remember when AG Barr refused to answer if a President could nullify birthright citizenship by executive order, saying he did not have an opinion on the matter?
Image
Remember when AG Barr wouldnt draw a line regarding the pervasive collection of data on citizens without a warrant?
Image
Remember when AG Barr said he wouldnt commit to an independent and transparent Office of Legal Counsel until he could review its opinions?
Image
Remember when AG Barr wouldnt answer when asked if he would commit not to proactively use the DOJ to attack womens reproductive rights?
Image
Remember when AG Barr refused to say if he agreed with Trumps very fine people on both sides description of the white supremacist demonstrations in Charlottesville?

Republicans holding a double-standard when it comes to a Democratic Presidents nominees is a tale as old as time. If they spent less time spinning excuses and more time talking to well-qualified nominees like Judge Garland, our nation would be all the more safe.

Cram that in the old piehole and it might slow the flow of dumbass outta that mouth. NOT that I'm encouraging anyone do it, but it is a nice mental image right now...

Actually it's past time. This thing can't be "solved" via twitter debates/wars.
Grow a fucking a pair and shut this charade down. Time to stop acting like this is going to help Dems politically.
It just doesn't. .Period.

is equivalent to accusing a watchdog of barking. You just KNOW it's coming, and probably sooner than later.
