It’s telling that the last two Democratic Presidents began their presidencies with a “Recovery Act” and a “Rescue Plan” because their inheritances were so catastrophic.

I just heard David Brooks say he took a genetic test and was told he has an unusually high amount of Neanderthal DNA. Heh. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

I’m a good, old fashioned liberal and always have been. Do not denigrate those who do. It has nothing to do with political persuasion.

The last stimulus package in 2009 was ridiculously small, thanks to the useless compromising with the goops, and that prolonged the suffering much longer than it should have, giving the goops the baton to beat us in the midterms.

As you saw with the stimulus passed in April, it propped up the economy and smoothed over the suffering just enough that it gave 45 a real chance of winning re-election. This one is also large enough to provide the boost we need.

Reagan/Bush created huge deficits and debt that Bill Clinton spent years digging the country out of. By the time he left office he was running surpluses and the national debt was projected to be wiped out within a decade.

Except...

Thanks to SCOTUS, then came Dubya and massive Republican tax cuts, two unnecessary wars with one based on big WMD lies, a return to massive national debt, and the Great Recession.

Many U.S. voters seem incapable of learning.

And then they blame the democrats when their policies fail. Lather, rinse, repeat.
