A bit nervous, but it feels like some serious light at the end of a very long tunnel. Ive been working this whole time. Not too high exposure but do have health risks and older parents at home (both have had both shots), so this is a major relief.

(20,854 posts)My husband had both shots and he had no side effects, not even a sore arm!
Wishing you the best!

(17,570 posts)..in fact I just got my first flu shot this year ( Im 70)...but this shot was nothing like the shots I cringe at. Hubby is a Pharmacist and I asked him why this shot (Pfizer) was so quick and painless. He explained that flu shots have 5 somethings in them ( ml I think he said) and the covid shot has 3 what-evers. So it is just by fact a 'quicker to administer' shot.
Plus you can just sense the relief in the entire room. You really are participating in something very historic. I fact, you should record it...

(7,820 posts)Goodness knows I deal with needles and finger pricks enough. I think its more the logistics and the hoping I dont have side effects that are too bad.

(62,346 posts)I am curious to hear some J&J shots getting administered.
BTW - what state?

(8,556 posts)The process was very well organized and fast. In and out in about 30 mins. PG county MD. It feels good to have it done.

(42,696 posts)I had my first Moderna Friday afternoon. Upper arm started hurting a little
about 9 PM that night. Got gradually better the next day. All gone Sunday.
Had no trouble sleeping with it. Good luck.

(11,370 posts)A sore arm that lasted a few days but not bad. I was worried about having allergic reaction and that never happened, is rare.
You'll be fine. I forced myself to let my arm go limp during shot, if you tense up it causes muscle pain.

(68,352 posts)and it was miserable...almost hospitalized a few times but I got better. The Doctors said the shot might end the last vestiges of Covid...it can affect long term conditions...and of course there are variants now so I still get the shot.

(10,811 posts)My husband and I got out first Pfizer shot today. So far, no ill effects.
And yes, it is a relief. We'll be ready for the followup on March 28th. At last!
